About the Angelfish class
The Angelfish class are the 3 and a half to 4 and a half years.
We run a Traditional day with all the educational areas such as the book corner, puzzles, and educational games along with a large fantasy area, as well as all the art areas, where all messy creative activities are done, happen in one room. We also have a large block and construction area. The children are encouraged daily to take part in all the activities on offer. The Angelfish class has direct access to the garden, for movement rings outside.
At FHPPS, we concentrate on the IQ and EQ of the children. We have daily morning/theme rings, movement/music rings, along with creative art, quiet time, and story time. Outside playtime is vital for young children and we spend plenty of time outside, socializing with our peers. We go on outings every term which fit in with our themes eg. Beach, Forest, Ostrich Farm. In the Angelfish class, we try and encourage our children to be independent and responsible. They assist us daily in keeping our classroom clean and tidy, each having a helper day. The Angelfish children love having fun, being creative in the art room, or playing a fun educational game like Uno. Boundaries and routine are very important in the Angelfish class. The children learn early on in the year that there are consequences to their behaviour. If conflict arises we always discuss this amongst the children concerned.
